Tressleworks is changing to a Subscription based site.

Over the last year I have been working on updating various aspects of Tressleworks’ modules. Specifically all modules will be re-written for  ASP.NET V2.0. and Dotnetnuke V4.5.5+  This has required many hours of effort and while I am not asking for a lot, I will be asking the users of these newest modules to contribute.  The fees will go to maintaining the site, supporting DotNetNuke, and providing the infrastructure to maintain and develop the modules.

I have 3 basic subscription plans – 30, 90, and 360 days.  The 30 day subscription costs $10 and provides the user with access to download all modules from the site.  The modules are fully functional and have no time limit of use.  The subscription fee is strictly related to accessing the site for downloads.  Similarly, the 90 days subscription costs $25 and provides access to all modules from the site including source.  Lastly, the 360 day (1 year) subscription provides access to the site for an entire year for $75 and provides access to all modules, source and updates.

Basically, I recommend you consider the 30 day subscription to see if the modules are of benefit, and if so sign up for a year. If you know you want both the module and source for a specific project, then the 90 day subscription will be sufficient.

So what is in the pipeline?

I have two modules that I will release during May -- The first is a line and bar graph module that works with SQLGridSelectedView.  SQLGridSelectedView is not required, but paired up using IMC they can be very powerful.  I will be providing several examples on how to use this module with and without SQLGridSelectedView.  The second new module is something I call MenuLink.  This module will display links to the other items on the same level of the menu or the children of the current menu item.  Very Handy.

I also plan to release T-Minus and XMLdb for ASP.NET V2.0.

With the pending release of DotNetNuke V5.0, I will review all the modules and revise them to ensure they work seamlessly with DotNetNuke V5.0.

I will be releasing SQLGridSelectedView V5.1 as the first module available under the subscription plan, followed quick by LineGraph and MenuLinks.  The existing versions of SQLGridSelectView, T-Minus, and XMLdb will remain free for download.  The source will be available as part of the 30 day subscription.

Lastly, I pledge to continue to be a DotNetNuke Sponsor based on the subscription income, so indirectly a portion of your subscription fee will go to support DotNetNuke Corporation and the overall health of the DotNetNuke Ecosystem.

Thank you
Paul Scarlett
